My artistic practice centers around the creation of three-dimensional artworks using sound as my medium. Through experimentation with audio frequencies and vibrations, I have explored the transformative potential of the “oublek” in speaker cones, converting it into abstract forms. Additionally, I’ve captured over seven thousand images using a GoPro camera, which have inspired and informed the development of my artworks, known as “Sound Morfs.”
Currently, I meticulously craft each “Sound Morf” by hand, utilizing the captured images as a visual reference. However, my future vision involves taking this concept further by directly sculpting the forms into metal. This transition will allow me to manifest the ethereal and evocative qualities of sound in a more tangible and enduring medium.
By bridging the realms of sound and physical form, I aim to stimulate a multisensory experience for viewers. The abstract shapes and textures in my artworks are influenced by the oscillations and vibrations present in the sonic realm. Through the manipulation of sound frequencies, I create patterns that translate into visually captivating and immersive sculptures.
